WINTERIZATION PROJECT

TO:  ALL MTC MEMBERS

It is unfortunate at this time that we have to inform you that our WINTERIZATION project not been successful for this coming winter.  Despite our unrelenting efforts to bring WINTER tennis to our members, we have experienced financial constraints that unfortunately make the project unattainable for this coming winter.

We have been working incredibly hard with the CITY over the past three years to get to the point we are at.  Unfortunately, despite being able to pass the majority of major obstacles in our path, the increased financial costs of the project are insurmountable at the current time.  The project is currently short approximately $150,000.

We are currently working through details with the City of Ottawa and the Trillium Foundation in an attempt to leave the project open ended for the future.  The major concern we are currently addressing is that there may be an expiration attached to the previous grant money awarded the March Tennis Club from both organisations.

We are sorry to advise of this news, but we can assure our members it is not the result of a lack of effort.  We will continue to investigate our options in our WINTERIZATION efforts and will continue to update members should any significant happenings occur in the future.
