Tennis and All Sport Physical Training
(Adamson`s Tennis Academy) - 2010
Tennis and All Sport Physical Training is new series of programs put on by Adamson's Tennis Academy at the March Tennis Club in 2010 for striving junior athletes. The goal of the program will be to offer some different classes of conditioning training at the club. Whether you are a top athlete in your sport, looking for that breakthrough edge or just looking to get into shape we have a class for you. We are offering two levels of conditioning classes and two levels of distance running classes for you to choose from. We will also be offering a FREE Ball Hockey drop-in class and a FREE Soccer drop-in class for children.
ALL SPORTS CONDITIONING (AGES 10+)
This class is intended for those hoping to get that extra edge in their competitive sport environment. Whatever your sport, this class is intended to provide a cross-training system to work on speed, strength and agility. Each class will consist of intense circuit training exercises formulated to high performance junior athletes.
JUST GIRLS (AGES 12+)
This All-Girls class is intended for Intermediate and High School aged girls who are either competing at the Club or High School level. The class will work on a circuit training system in a fun friendly environment. The goal of the class will be to provide the girls a structured fitness regime to complement their sport.
BEGINNER RUNNING FOR SPORT (AGES 10+)
This class is intended to provide the non-runner and introductory class to aid in their overall sport performance. The class would be a strong compliment to those registered in either the ALL SPORT CONDITIONING class or the JUST GIRLS class. It will be an attempt to use running simply as a cross training mechanism to improve athletic endurance. The students will be eased into running and shown how to train properly for a short road race.
RACE RUNNING (AGES 13+)
This class is intended for the experienced runner who is or is planning on running Cross Country or Track and Field endurance races at the High School or club level. The program will incorporate speed work, hill work and endurance work as training mechanism to improve running ability. The students will be shown how to properly train for a medium to long track or road race.
